Dubai Marina is the main departure point for dhow cruises in Dubai. Dinner cruises board here at 7:45 PM and sail from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM, while sunset cruises board at 5:00 PM and sail from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Prices start at AED 79 per adult for dinner and AED 67 per adult for sunset.
The Marina route is the most scenic dhow cruise route in the city. The wooden dhow glides through the Marina canal, passing the twisted Cayan Tower, the bright promenade of Marina Walk and the busy Marina Mall Pier 7. It then opens out toward JBR and Bluewaters, where the giant Ain Dubai wheel lights up the night sky. On a clear evening you can even catch a glimpse of Palm Jumeirah in the distance.
Marina is where the newest and best-maintained cruise dhows are berthed. The boarding area at Marina Mall Pier 7 is easy to reach by metro, taxi or hotel transfer, and there are restaurants and cafes nearby if you arrive early. Unlike the older creek dhows, Marina vessels are built for comfort, with air-conditioned lower decks, open upper decks for photography and proper onboard kitchens for the live BBQ.

Arrive at Pier 7 at least 20 minutes before boarding time, especially on weekends when the upper deck fills fast. The nearest metro station is DMCC, a short walk from the Marina Mall. Smart casual dress works well, and a light jacket is useful on the upper deck in winter months. If you are staying in JBR, many guests walk over or take the tram one stop to the Marina.
